"The violin is an incredibly beautiful instrument, from the sound it makes to its construction - including its smaller accessories like the tuning pegs and the bridge. I create violin peg and bridge necklaces by hand. Each necklace features a unique violin part with hand-selected beads, and just like all musicians and musical instruments, no necklace is the same. These violin parts I use have personalities of their own, which I aim to compliment in each design. Every part I use is unique and is from a real violin. I hope you enjoy this memento of celebrating the violin and keeping “in tune” with string playing and the importance of music in our lives through my necklaces. All proceeds go towards scholarships for the O’Connor Method String Camps I co-direct with my husband Mark O’Connor."
A limited selection of Maggie's Violin Necklaces will also be available at the merchandise table for most of Maggie's performances. Please keep in mind, Maggie is primarily a touring musician and makes these necklaces on the road, so we ask for a 2 to 3 week turnaround for shipping and there will be a no return policy. Blank necklaces (violin bridge on a cord without any beading) can be made upon request. All proceeds go towards scholarships for the O'Connor Method String Camps. Thank you for supporting string education!
