More info about the original painting:
The fiddle has been painstakingly matched to the proportions of Mark O'Connor's white fiddle from his championship years as a teenager. In an unbelievable twist of fate, Mark's teacher Benny Thomason traded a fishing pole to get the white fiddle hanging on his neighbor's barn wall for parts - when he decided to string it up and see how it sounded, he realized it was a great instrument! He gave it to young Mark O'Connor, who in turn won many fiddle contests on it and had it signed by some of the greatest fiddlers around! Each signature on the front of the fiddle has been traced to get the likeness of the real instrument as closely as possible.
Note: Frame not included. Photo print will come nicely wrapped with artist card and backing board to protect during shipping.
