“The violin is a beautiful instrument, from the sound it makes to its construction - including its bridge, pegs, and tailpiece. With these parts I create ornaments by hand. Each features a unique violin part with beading and a painting by me, and just like all musicians and musical instruments, no ornament is the same. The violin parts have personalities of their own, which I aim to compliment in each design, and every part I use is unique and from a real instrument. I hope you enjoy this memento of celebrating the violin and keeping “in tune” with string playing and the importance of music in our lives through my artwork. All proceeds for these and my other creations go towards scholarships for the O’Connor Method String Camps I co-direct with my husband Mark O’Connor. “ - Maggie O'Connor
